The Great Club Cash Con
The Club have recently stated that Club Cash balances will now expire on 1 September 2017.

For those of us who chose to renew our season tickets early to be in with a chance of relocating, this would mean that we will effectively lose any Club Cash earned between the point of renewal on 13 March and the end of this season.

Given, to my knowledge, the Club have never published full terms and conditions for Club Cash, only FAQs (https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/february/06-february/club-cash-faqs) with no mention of expiration dates, this approach seems completely unreasonable and tantamount to theft!

How dare you. Those lovely men are fans like us and would never turn over West Ham fans.

They've only ever had our best interests at heart, not their own.

I'm in same position. I emailed club to ask for clarification. They replied though actually didn't answer the question.

They must have a weekly meeting to devise ways of pissing fans off. It's the only thing they planed for, and execute well.

I've said it before but the owners seem to know the cost of everything right down to the coat-hangers and teacups but the VALUE of things goes completely over their heads.

Re: The Great Club Cash Con
There are terms and conditions. They are at the bottom of the ticketing page. They are also found in the link posted in the email the club sent out regarding this club cash expiry date. In the T&Cs it comes about two thirds down under "posting tickets for sale"

Needless to say there is nothing in the t&c about an expiry date.

Re: The Great Club Cash Con
Actually I was wrong, they added right at the bottom of the t&cs in February 2017 about the 1st Sep deadline. I'd be interested to know if an IT whizz was able to check if it was Feb 2017 when the amendment was made

However that wont stand up to a misleading omission claim as they have in effect hidden the information. It was placed there half way through the season, they did not disclose this new material information at the time the t&cs were changed and failed to disclose it on the OS mid March 2017 when announcing ST renewal information and how to buy using club cash.

Apparently the club have seen the error of their ways and the expiry deadline is now end of next season.

You cannot trust these bastards and have to watch them like hawks all the way

Re: The Great Club Cash Con
WHUISA are reporting that the Club has seen sense and will be extending the deadline for use of Club Cash until the end of the 2017/18 season.

So common sense has hopefully prevailed, but why does the Clubhave to get it so wrong initially!

Doesn't this just stop us from accumulating loads of credit over the years?

*till beeps as shopper’s card is rejected*

SA: I’m sorry, Sir. This transaction has been declined by your bank

S: But how can that be? There's more than enough in the account to cover it.

SA: Nothing to be embarrassed about, SIr. It’s been happening a lot lately. Ever since the banks introduced their new ’Stopping you accumulating loads of money’ facility.

S: What’s that?

SA: Well, Sir. It’s a service where, at the end of every twelve months of banking, the bank removes any pounds or pence left in your account.

S: What do you mean?

SA: Well, let’s say you have £11,856.74 in your account at the end of a year. With this new facility, the bank removes it for you.

S: To stop me accumulating loads of money?

SA: To stop you accumulating loads of money. It’s totally free of charge.

S: I didn’t hear anything about this?

SA: As I understand it. It was such a selfless act of giving on the part of the banks, that they felt publicising it would be .. well .. to go against the spirit of the thing.

S: Truly, what a wonderful age we live in.

SA: Glad I could be of assistance, Sir.

S: Actually, let me have a bunch of those flowers, I have enough change to pay for them.

SA: For your bank manager?

S: That’s right! How ever did you know?

SA: We get a lot of people saying that, SIr. And do pop back in when you’ve the funds available for your wife’s medicine.
